We ensure authenticity by using forensic handwriting examiners who are trained scientists. They use proven scientific methods, including detailed measurements and analysis of unique handwriting characteristics, to verify each signature.
These companies don’t employ trained handwriting examiners. They use former baseball card dealers or auction house owners without scientific training. Their methods aren’t scientifically validated, and their certificates won’t hold up in court. Their reputations are built on marketing, not expertise.
Request their claim in writing. We’ll arrange a hearing with our forensic examiner, who will testify under oath about the verification methods. Usually, those who challenge our findings aren’t qualified to testify in court.
Auction houses and dealers often avoid forensic examiners because these experts are busy with police, legal, and government work, and they can be more expensive. Non-forensic examiners are easier to use, but their certifications won’t hold up in court.
Autographs can deteriorate due to acid and sunlight. We use only acid-free materials in our framing process and coated plexi-glass with superior light refracting qualities. However, avoid hanging autographs in sunlight or bright locations as inks and pencils can fade over time.
